Project: Skylens LED Skylights Brand and E-commerce Website
Problem Statement: As a company with a variety of products ranging from your basic light bulb to industrial high-bays, we often find a need to develop separate shopping experiences and websites entirely. That was the case for our printed LED skylight panels.
Role: Visual Design, Brand Identity, UX/UI, Shopping Experience
Building the Product Line
Product relationship document built by Product Marketing.
Configuration Flowchart built by Content Development.
Once the team, consisting of myself, Content Development, and Product Marketing, outlined what exactly we needed to move forward in terms of product line, we began the work on diagramming relationships between each LED panel and their various features and mounting types.
The complexities of attempting to create a new product line from already existing products proved quite the challenge. Once all relationships and products were outlined, we were able to move forward with part number creation, accessory relationships, and mapping out how our customers would shop.
Brand Identity

Skylens Logo
Once the trademark for Skylens was settled, I set out to design the logo and overall brand of the product. After various early sketches I began developing the logos in Adobe Illustrator. The look took on many forms from soft to corporate but nothing quite stuck. After a number of meetings and various input from others we settled on the look of Skylens.
