Project: Landing Pages - LED Light Strips and Bars

Problem Statement: Working for an LED lighting company that is self described as the “Wal-Mart of LED Lighting” meant they don’t specialize in any one LED product. I viewed each category as a separate entity and designed accordingly. Our LED Light Strips are a major revenue producer and required special attention which meant a landing page layout that deviated from the template I created for the website.

All landing pages used the same template with no consideration for the individuality of the product line. Sub-category descriptions were overwhelmingly long and aimed to fit in as many keywords as possible.

Attempting to fit the strips category into the newly created site-wide template proved ineffective not only from a design standpoint but also in regards to customer engagement and conversion rates. The previous content manager attempted to bring the colors and voltages out front but the execution was poor and not well thought out from a user experience and design standpoint. It was my goal to fix that and overhaul the entire page.

Through analyzing the data and meetings with our call-center we were able to get insight into how our customers preferred to shop. I simplified the color selection process by creating direct links to each color SBL offers. The left hand column houses specialty categories such as our dual-row strips as well as the ability to shop by the newly developed series created in 2019.
